MY AWESOME WEEKEND!!! :o)7-4-01
Hey ya'll!!!! I am home...made it safely here thanks to my great friend Jen and her mom! Took us 12 hours!!!! We hit some traffic, so it took a little longer! PHEW! PS For those wondering...My singing went really well!!!! Thanks for your prayers!! I've been getting some really encouraging feedback, so just keep praying for those open doors. No word yet on whether or not I'll be moving to TN, but it's still something I'm considering...and who knows what else God may have in mind! I'll keep you posted!!! PSS You can view my weekend's pictures here: http://www.picturetrail.com/EEElisa and here http://www.picturetrail.com/jenniferlw Look for "Grove City" Or "Burger Buddy" You can see me singing on Jen's picturetrail site...
I want to say a special thank you to Jen for coming all the way out here just to get me. She is just awesome ya'll...sweet, funny, great to hang around with, generous, pretty, and just wonderful. Here is her site...check her out...She's great at making websites too... http://www.gaithernet.com/users/jenniferw I had a really great time with her and her family is just so sweet. They made me feel so welcome and what great cooks Jen and her mom are!!! :o) Her sister Kelly and her dad were really nice as well. Thanks to them for everything!!!! I really felt at home and had a really nice time with them.
Love you Jen!!!!! Thank you soooooooooooooooooo much!!! You were awesome!!! Couldn't have done it without you!!!!! You are the best!! :o)
I'll start with Friday night...the Trio concert...where I got to meet quite a few of my Gaithernet friends...
First I got to meet Vonna, her adorable and quite funny daughter Kacie, and Sherri. I love you guys! You were a blast!! Then I met Krista who is absolutely hysterical and just as sweet as anything and has a great voice... http://www.kristasinger.net . I also got to meet Songbird and her two sons, Sonny and Robin...both were gentlemen. SB, you did a great job raising them. ;o) It was great meeting you as well.
WELL the Trio concert was just absolutely incredible. First they came out one at a time and sang/played for about 15 minutes each then took a break then they all came back as the Trio. Let me tell you, they were just awesome. If they come close enough here, I would definitely go. I truly enjoyed it. They sang some great songs, cracked us up so hard we had tears in our eyes, and the message that came from their hearts really spoke to us. What a truly amazing group. If they are ever in your area, I highly recommend you to go!! Kirk was laughing, at one point, so hard, he couldn't even talk. He just kept cracking himself and the rest of us up. It was really funny. Ivan made some funny jokes as well.
Well, anyhoo, ya'll, the Trio was awesome. I really enjoyed them as a group. Funny, inspirational, spiritual, and just really wonderful. And now for Saturday...
Ya'll, I was just blown away Saturday. It's hard to put in words how I felt, but I am going to try. Anthony Burger... http://www.anthonyburger.com is just so amazingly talented there's really no words to describe just how awesome he really is. He is the world's greatest piano player, and I have to say has a really great voice. I sat and listened to both concerts and I was just mesmerized by how fast he plays and the amount of effort and heart he puts into each and every song. He drew me in so much that I almost forgot where I was, and all I heard was this incredible piano playing. I think we all just sat there and watched his hands go back and forth over those piano keys so fast, we were speechless. I would notice how he'd be going down the keys, from high to low, then back to high and the keys on the low notes didn't even finish coming up before he was back up on the high notes. Now that is fast!
We also saw and felt the depth of Anthony's heart for God, that we were touched and teary-eyed. Anthony is one of the most talented, spiritual, down to earth artists I have ever met. He has proven that over and over again. I am literally blown away by the talent God has given him, and am so happy he has chosen to use it to glorify God, and he truly does. The way he speaks, sings, plays, all just lifts up Christ's name in such a way that you just can't help but praise God along with him and just be so thankful to Jesus for all He has done for us. To me, that is what an artist should be all about. He gave an incredible message at the end of both concerts, especially the second, that had us in tears and really touched our hearts so deeply. Thank you Anthony for all you do. It truly was an amazing concert and I hope you are close enough again so I can go to another.
Anthony also has a truly beautiful wife, Eva. She is as sweet as she is pretty. I was so honored to finally meet her. She has an incredible smile, a gracious personality and a great sense of humor. She had us cracking up at times. Thank you Eva for adding an extra special touch to that night. It was an honor to have you with us!!
And a very special thanks to Brian, Krista, and all the wonderful, wonderful people from chat that I felt so privileged to finally get to meet. I had the best time this weekend and if I could do it over again, I would in a heartbeat. You made my weekend one of the best weekends I have ever had. Everyone was just so gracious and fun to be around. I love you all!! Krista, thanks for sharing your amazing talent. I pray God continues to bless you and bring you even greater things!! Brian, thank you SOOOO very much for all you did this weekend and for giving me a chance to sing. I had so much fun. You don't know how much we appreciate and love you. You are just great!
Well, we had a really wonderful time...and I have to tell ya'll something funny in closing. During the Burger Buddy lunch, in between concerts, Brian was passing around the microphone so we could all introduce ourselves. Everyone would say who they were, where they were from, who they are known as in chat, and that they were a Burger Buddy(what we subscribers, to Anthony's newsletter, call ourselves). He gave it to Anthony at one point and Anthony was saying thank you to everyone, and was so deeply touched by everything. It really was a moment...until he said this... and don't quote me word for word(I'm sure Anthony will correct me LOL), anyway he was talking about meeting us in chat and all the things we share..."We know each other's secrets and sometimes we know more than we should know, thanks to EEE." or something like that. I get blamed for everything. ;o) SOOOO...I got the microphone two minutes later and said, "Hi, I'm Elisa Sangiorgio, and I'm from Long Island, NY, and I'm a reMarkable(what Mark Lowry calls us)...I mean Burger Buddy...and I'm also know as EEE, thanks to Anthony." he he he He said, "Don't go there." LOL It's my NY attitude, what can I say!! I brought it with me to OH and KY. ;o)
Speaking of things I brought...I also brought along a nice bug with me and got a lot of my friends sick!! LOL Woops!!! I'm feelin better though!
Well Sunday we had church service and it was a really great service and Krista's singing was just beautiful and really touching. Thanks to Grove City United Methodist Church for making us feel welcome and for a great service!!
WELLLLL, that about covers my weekend. Jen and I went back to KY Sunday afternoon, and drove home today and here I am!! Thank you again to everyone for an awesome weekend!!!! Love you all!!!!
