Mark Lowry, West Virginia, and Jeanie Hutton :) 9/10-99
Hey, everyone!! Many of you have been asking about the concert and my recent trip to WV and what happened, while others were wondering where I have been. :) As some of you already know, I went to a Mark Lowry concert two days before I left for WV. Many of you read what a truly wonderful concert it was. Had to be the best routine I've ever seen Mark do, not to mention that I've never seen him look more handsome!! So you can see for yourself, I am attaching the picture I took with Mark. I tried to get it so it won't download so big, so hopefully it will work for you. It was such a cute picture of him. The guy who took it, well, I don't know what he was thinking, but the picture came out slightly blurry. You can still see how nice Mark looks. Hope y'all like it!
Well, I was in West Virginia last week. ;) I spent five days with one of my closest friends in the world, Jeanie Hutton, who some of you know and understand when I say she is one of the dearest people in the world. We had such a wonderful time together. Beautiful fellowship and a lot of laughs. We watched some Gaither videos, and mostly talked...just really got to know each other, and since we're both HUGE Mark Lowry fans, a lot about him too and what a blessing he's been and is. :) I also got to know her incredible family that I just love so much. They all treated me so nicely and I felt so at home. Since Jeanie has polio and is in a wheelchair, we did not get out much...only for a little trip to the mall, or lunch at The Olive Garden, or visiting the Fenton Glass Factory. You know what? I didn't mind one bit. I enjoyed every minute spent inside just talking. It was such a special visit.
See, the uniqueness of this friendship is Jeanie and I are 37 years apart, yet are the closest of friends. We met on the internet and something clicked between us immediately. It's as if we've known each other forever. She has been such a blessing and encouragement in my life, and I can't thank God enough for her. I say that about her family too. Her husband Gene and daughter Kelley had me constantly laughing, and her son, Kent was very nice.
Kelley could give Mark a run for his money! She is SO funny! Such a sweet person too, and Gene is just such a wonderful man. I can't say enough about this family. You'd only have to meet them for five minutes to understand what I'm saying.
Well, just wanted to give you a little update.
Love you all so very much, Elisa
