God is my hero. He saved me from a fate, well, it can't be worse than death, because that's just what it is. He saved me from an eternity in hell, forever separated from Him. I cringe just thinking about it. I was locked in a tower of sin, and Jesus came and rescued me. He was my LIGHT in shining armor! He fought a battle for me, suffered pain, shed His blood and WON!!!!!!! He DEFEATED the enemy! What an awesome, POWERFUL God! No matter how strong the enemy seemed to be, he was just a little weakling compared to my God. Satan thought he had won when he saw Jesus being nailed to the tree, but little did he know Jesus was going to claim the victory in three days! While the enemy still roams about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, we all have the power to overcome him with the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus. So, let us go forth as lights in this darkened world. Let us claim victory in the name of Jesus. Let the world know what an awesome, POWERFUL God we serve!!! God is my hero, your hero...our...
The following is a poem that leads into a song. While I don't have the music, I would one day like to....
Once upon a time,
in a land not far away,
There stood a darkened castle,
a place where evil lay.
And locked up in the tower,
a maiden faced a certain death.
Where enemies would ignore her pleas
as she'd take her final breath.
But a knight in shining armor,
rode up upon his horse.
He raised his shield and sword,
as his enemies came forth.
He fought with every ounce of strength,
til every enemy lay dead.
But suddenly the knight felt weak,
as through his armor he bled.
But the knight ignored his wounds,
for his maiden waited beyond.
Even thought he suffered pain,
it was her love that led him on....
(song)
Once upon a time,
in a land not far away.
There was a darkened hill,
where sin and evil lay.
But, nailed upon a cross,
a man had faced His death.
Sin would be defeated,
as He took His final breath.
While in the depth of Hell,
Jesus fought the enemy.
and in three days He came alive,
so He could set us free.
Even though He suffered,
His children waited beyond.
For though we caused Him pain,
His love for us led Him on.
He's my light in shining armor,
in the battle for my soul.
For only the blood of Jesus,
has made this sinner whole.
Ken Davis is not only a comedian, but a powerful speaker and communicator. With side-splitting humor and powerful insights, Ken will help you dig deeper into God's word and see things you never saw before. He presents the Gospel in such a powerful way, and in such a simple way. We tend to make God's word so complicated, but God made it so easy for us to understand, and with God's help, we can do anything. So, if you don't have any of Ken's videos, I highly recommend them. You will not only laugh, but realize things you've never realized before...Here's a little paragraph from his website..."Ken Davis is one of the nation's top communicators. He has appeared on stage and television in many countries and is a best selling author whose books have received critical acclaim. His books on communication are used as college and seminary texts around the country. Ken spent fifteen years in youth ministry and has spent the last fifteen years speaking and

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
