This weeks inspiration:

Hey, all!! I know many of you have been wondering where I've been. I've been BUSY! God has been opening some amazing doors and I can't wait to see what He's going to do! It's funny, but while you're waiting, it seems like forever, but when things start to happen, it goes quickly! God is good...ALL the time! He's worked out SO many things in such a short time, and I will let you know them when I can! Something promising may come to pass VERY soon. I will keep you posted when I know more details! Please PRAY!!!!

Well, for those of you who don't know, I recently embarked on a new journey. I've been taking voice lessons with a fantastic teacher my aunt recommended. THANK YOU MARIAN HOOVER!! She's helped me tremendously, given me a great deal of encouragement, and because of her help I have been able to make my

own professional demo! She recommended the studio producer (THANK YOU JOE DEPIETTO!) who did a fantastic job on it. I was able to do background vocals at the end of one song, and he did an amazing job with that. I sang "Only God Knows", by the Martins, "I Will Glory in the Cross" by Dottie Rambo, I did the additional background vocals on this one, and "O, Holy Night" as sung by Sandi Patty! Those high notes are fun! :) I have since received tremendous encouragement from family and friends, and I have sat and cried thanking God

for His tremendous goodness in my life. I feel so undeserving. I am also very excited about this. It ties in with what may happen. I don't want to say anything unless it really happens, but I promise I will let you know soon

enough!

Well, for those of you who have been asking, here's a new poem! I hope you enjoy!! I think this can be a really fun song, what do you think? :)

Did You? Can You?

The angels told the shepherds, "Christ is born!"

The angels told the shepherds, "Christ is born!"?

Did you hear them praise His name,

on that blessed morn?

The angels told the shepherds, "Christ is born!"?

Did you see Him heal the blind man and the lame?

Did you see Him heal the blind man and the lame?

Do you trust the things He'll do,

if you ask it in His name?

Did you see Him heal the blind man and the lame?

Did you weep when they crucified the Lamb?

Did you weep when they crucified the Lamb?

Did you weep when the nails,

pierced His feet and His hands?

Did you weep when they crucified the Lamb?

Did you see where they put Him in the tomb?

Did you see where they put Him in the tomb?

And remember in three days,

He'd rise up from that tomb.

Did you see where they put Him in the tomb?

Did you rejoice when He rose up from the grave?

Did you rejoice when He rose up from the grave?

Did you glorify His name,

Tell the world that Jesus saves,

Did you rejoice when He rose up from the grave?

Can you shout, "Hallelujah, Jesus lives!"?

Can you shout, "Hallelujah, Jesus lives!"?

Can you shout, "Hallelujah,

and Jesus will forgive!"?

Can you shout, "Hallelujah, Jesus lives!"?

Check it out!

This week I'm featuring two websites that tie in with each other. The Walter Hoving Home and Teen Challenge...Both are Christian places that help men and women who are homeless, addicted, alcoholic and involved in prostitution and other criminal behavior . One of the founders, John Benton, has written many books about the girls that go to this place. They're fantastic and you can't put them down. What hope is given at the end when God turns these girl's lives around! While both serve the same purpose, The Walter Hoving Home is meant for girls, Teen Challenge for boys. If you know anyone who needs help in those areas, I HIGHLY recommend this place. They are wonderful people and really have a tremendous heart for God and ladies in need. They actually go out on the streets to talk to these girls and take them to their home. God has used this place in a tremendous way. Please read more about it and check out both sites. Teen Challenge has a few testimonys of some of the boys that have completed the program...

Since 1967 the Walter Hoving Home has been committed to helping women who are homeless, addicted, alcoholic and involved in prostitution and other criminal behavior.  The current capacity of the Home in Garrison is 60. The rehabilitation cure rate is 82% for those that complete the one year curriculum. More than 800 ladies have successfully completed the program. The Home receives more than 500 referrals from across the country each year. These referrals come from jails, institutions, other Teen Challenge Centers or off the streets.

The original Walter Hoving Home is located on a 23 acre estate in Garrison, New York overlooking the Hudson River and West Point, 50 miles north of New York City. John Benton and his wife, Elsie founded the Home.

The Home is named in honor of Walter Hoving, former chairman of Tiffany & Co. He was instrumental in securing the W Alton Jones Foundation to provide the down payment and yearly grant of $15,000 to cover the life of the mortgage. That mortgage has now been satisfied.

CHECK EM OUT!!.... Walter Hoving Home AND Teen Challenge

Here's the producer's website, who did my demo. If you live on Long Island, I highly recommend him... Joe Magic Productions, Music Producer and Remixer

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE -

Useless Facts - Comments in parentheses are not mine, but they're funny!...

bullet

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (Hardly seems worth it)

bullet

Banging you head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour. (Don't try this at home, leave it to the professionals?)

bullet

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. (HHmmmmmmmmm!)

bullet

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people do. (If you're ambidextrous do you split the difference?)

bullet

The ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weight, and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated. (From drinking from little bottles of.....?) (Did taxpayers pay for this research?)

bullet

Polar bears are left-handed. (Who knew?......who cares?..... How'd they find out, ask them??)

bullet

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. (What can be so tasty on the bottom of the pond?)

bullet

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field. (I wonder if its faster than a speeding bullet, too?)

bullet

A cockroach will live nine days without its head, before it starves to death. (Just what I've been dying to know)

bullet

Butterflies taste with their feet. (Whoopie)

bullet

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that)

bullet

Starfish don't have brains. (I know some people like that, too)

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
