WELCOME NEW SUBSCRIBERS TO MY LIST AND THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR
KIND WORDS!!! YOU HAVE TOUCHED MY HEART DEEPLY!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
I was sent this quote in a newsletter a few weeks ago, and it just really spoke to me and inspired the following song, 'When you come to the end of all that you know, and you are forced to step into the unknown, you have to know that there will be a safe place for you to land - or God will teach you to fly.' Think about that. I find the ways God works in our lives that there's always some kind of lesson or something He's trying to teach us, a way of perfecting us and preparing us for something in our future. I love Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." What a great promise that is. Philippians 2:13 "for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose." My point? Some of the difficult circumstances we go through is God working in us because He is sharpening the rough edges, but no matter what we go through, He will be there and promises to never leave us nor forsake us. Sometimes the mountains I climb seem so long and steep, but He will help me reach the top. And, there will be times when I have to take a leap of faith, so to speak, off the edge of the mountain, but like that quote says...I have to know that there will be a safe place for me to land - or God will...
Elisa Sangiorgio
The winds of change blow around me,
As I climb up the mountain of faith.
You are the rope I hold on to,
That keeps me from falling away.
Then I walk to the edge of the mountain,
And step into regions unseen.
I must make a choice, but then I hear Your voice,
"My child, just spread your wings."
Chorus :
"I'll teach you to fly,
I'll teach you to soar,
On the wings of an eagle,
High in the sky.
I'll teach you to trust,
and step out in faith,
When there's no place to land, I'll take your hand,
And Teach you to fly."
Through valleys and over the hillside,
When I can't seem to find my way home.
I know You will be there beside me,
You'll never leave me alone.
When darkness surrounds me, and questions confound me,
And the fears consume me inside.
When my wings are too weary, or I feel you can't hear me,
I know You will help me to glide.
Chorus:
And teach me to fly,
Teach me to soar,
On the wings of an eagle,
High in the sky.
Teach me to trust,
To step out in faith,
Lord take my hand, when there's no place to land,
And Teach me to fly.

A grandfather was going by his little granddaughter's room one night when he saw her kneeling beside her bed, with head bowed and hands folded, repeating the alphabet.
"What are you doing?" he asked her.
She explained, "I'm saying my prayers, but I couldn't think of just what I wanted to say. So I'm just saying all the letters of the alphabet, and God can put them together however he thinks best."
We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless. Please visit my poetry site for other Poems for the Journey...
