First let me say thank you to everyone for your prayers. I felt SO much better as soon as I sent that letter out. I think it was just something I needed to get out. I do appreciate your encouraging e-mails, and phone call. :) You know who you are. hee hee. You're all so special. May God bless you for your kindness. Well, um, it's Valentine's Day, so I, well, wrote a Valentine's Day poem. :) Ok, seriously, this poem was inspired. :) There's a lot here, so bear with me...Perhaps many of you can relate to the fact that you've waited, or are waiting for the right person. I know I have. We all know how frustrating it can be, especially around this time of year. We all want a special someone to send us flowers and chocolates and tell us how much they love us, right?? :) Well, my family and I are now studying marriage, and we're just reading the beginning of Genesis about Adam

and Eve. When God brought the animals before Adam, to name them all, He knew Adam would see that within all those animals he would not find one compatible for him. He placed that desire in Adam's heart for a companion. He then placed a deep sleep on Adam and took a rib from him and made Eve. Then with

love and tenderness in his eyes at this beautiful creature, this help meet before him, that God had made just for him, Adam said, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." What a beautiful love story. Sure, he had no one else to compare her with, but Adam knew, in his heart, that this was the one person for him. This was a different kind of love. He loved God, but now he had a different love in his heart for Eve. I believe we all have that love in our hearts and when the right person comes along, God will reveal that love, open it up, and we will know that one person. 

The right person is something I've prayed about since I was probably 13. I have literally saved myself in every way for this person. I know this may come as a surprise, as many have said so when I tell them, but I have never even been kissed before. I want my future husband to know that I waited just for him. I've met guys before, have even "dated" a few, but never felt anything in my heart for them. I truly believe God has played a vital role in this in keeping me from pursuing the wrong person. That is also something I have prayed about. I prayed that I would somehow know just who that right person, for me, is, so that I wouldn't have to date a hundred guys in order to find the right one. I believe in love at first sight. I've read countless stories about it, including Michael W. Smith, who met his wife and knew she was the one before even knowing her name. They were engaged two weeks later and married four months after that!! They now have FIVE children. I have prayed about the right person, and truly believe I know who he is, it's now just up to God to work it out. My mother told me, years ago, and I recommend it, to write down every quality I want in a husband and pray about it. I believe this person has every quality I look for and more, including looks. :) I'm still continuing to trust and wait on Him. Well, with this in mind, here's some of my own thoughts and feelings about this person. I've waited and prayed...and...

I looked so long for a love of my own,

and I'd been up and down the road before.

Looking here and looking there, I couldn't find you anywhere,

but then saw God had something else in store.

So, I put it in His hands,

and let go of my will.

I waited for His perfect plan,

That I knew He would fulfill.

And then I saw you,

and it was love at first sight.

When I saw you,

I knew that this was right.

God placed you in my heart,

and now something has begun.

I saw something in your eyes,

and I knew you were the one.

now that I have felt your love,

soon we'll say "I do",

I knew that this would happen,

When I saw you.

I've never had these feelings for anyone before,

This love inside my heart is all brand new.

And now the time has come for me to open up my heart,

and I can't wait to say the words, "I do!"

And I will love you forever,

the way that love should be.

God brought us together,

And this love was meant for you and me.

When I saw you,

It was love at first sight.

When I saw you,

I knew it was right.

God placed you in my heart,

and now something has begun.

I see the love in your eyes,

and I know you are the one.

Now that I have felt your love,

soon we'll say "I do",

This weeks featured website is Candy Christmas. Yes, you heard me right. That is really her name, and she's as sweet as it sounds. :)

There's a story behind it, and you'll just have to check out her website to read all about it. :) She travels with the Gaithers and has one of the most beautiful voices, as well as a beautiful heart. She's very expressive on every video as well as at concerts, showing how much she loves the Lord. I have been blessed by many of her songs, as well as being able to give her my music, which I hope one day she'll sing. :) So, please check out her website

Redneck Valentine's Day Pome

Collards is green, my dog's name is Blue 

and I'm so lucky to have as weet thang like you!

Yore hair is like cornsilk a-flappin in the breeze.

Softer than Blue's and without all them fleas.

You move like the bass, which excite me in May.

You ain't got no scales but I love you anyway!

Yo're as satisfy'n as okry jist a-fry'n in the pan.

Yo're as fragrant as "snuff" right out of the can.

You have some'a yore teeth, for which I am proud; 

I hold my head highwhen we're in a crowd.

On special occasions, when you shave under yo're arms, 

well I'm in hawg heaven, and awed by yo're charms.

Still them fellers at work, they all want to know, 

what I did to deserve such a purdy young doe.

Like a good roll of duct tape yo're there for yo're man,

 to patch up life's troubles and fix what you can.

Yo're as cute as a junebug a-buzzin' overhead.

You ain't mean like those far ants I found in our bed.

Cut from the best cloth like a plaid flannel shirt,

 you spark up my life more'n a fresh loada' dirt.

When you hold me real tight like a padded gunrack,

 my life is complete; ain't nuttin I lack.

Yore complexion, it's perfection, like the best vinyl sidin' 

despite all the years yo're age it keeps hidin'.

Me 'n' you's like a Moon Pie with a cold RC drank, 

we go together like a skunk goes with stank.

Some men they buy chocolate for Valentine's Day; 

They git it at Wal-Mart, it's romantic that way.

Some men git roses on that special day 

from the cooler at Kroger. "That's impressive," I say.

Some men buy fine diamonds from a flea market booth 

"Diamonds are forever," they explain, suave and couth.

But for this man honey, these just won't do.

Cause yo're too special, you sweet thang you.

I got you a gift, without taste nor odor, 

more useful than diamonds...It's a new troll'n motor!
