This week's inspiration:

A certain situation took place right her in my own house. Yet, out of the hard situation, came forgiveness, and a willing heart to do what's right. It's so hard to see your own "Blind Spot." What's that?  Something you're doing, that you need to change, but that you don't see.  When someone points it out, it can hurt, but if you have a willing heart, God can help you change and do what He wants you to do. It's amazing how out of the hardest circumstances bloom the most beautiful flowers. God is just preparing you for something to come and getting out the "weeds" and digging out the rocks so you can blossom and grow in His love and wisdom. It will be hard but you'll get through it and you'll see something so awesome in the end. Just have a willing heart, never hold bitterness inside, and learn, like Jesus does ALL the time, to forgive and forget.

I'm Sorry

We all have personalities that can get in the way,

We want to be the one that's always right.

But how can we learn to live in peace,

when all we want to do is fight?

How can we go on living with the bitterness inside?

And, walk away from problems that we face?

Look at the log in our own eye, before looking at another.

And remember we were saved by God's forgiving grace.

Chorus:

Why is it so hard to say, "I'm sorry?"

Why can't we admit that we are wrong?

How can anger be so easy, then to forgive and to forget?

Time goes by and soon the day is gone.

Don't let the sun set on your anger,

Learning to let go is something we all need to learn.

So, while we have this moment, let us say that we are sorry,

then it will be their turn...

To say that they forgive.

Bridge:

For bitterness can eat you up inside.

That's when you really need to talk it through.

But, if you cannot forgive your brother,

How can your Heavenly Father forgive you?

The featured website of the week Jeff & Sheri Easter  OR http://www.jeffandsherieaster.com. They are a talented bunch and, though I have yet to meet them, seem like some of the nicest people. Besides the fact that I just LOVE their son...he is just adorable. He's on the Gaither kid's videos and, since I just love children, is the cutest thing in the world. :) So, check it out!!! They have A LOT of great things on their site to check out too!!

Insights for the Journey...

Just insights I get along my journey that I like to share...

As you know I went to TN two weekends ago. As I'm high up in the plane, I look down below and see how small the world is from so far away. You can't even see anything moving. It's an incredible view, to THINK everything looks so calm and peaceful, when what's really going on are horrible things. It started me thinking about a song I heard years ago by Bette Midler..."From a Distance." Have you guys ever heard that? If you have, have you REALLY

listened to the words??? I thought it was this sweet tribute to how God watches over us, then my wise parents pointed out the subtlety of it. Since then, I can't help but think how terrible that song really is. It talks about how God watches us...from a distance...BUT the song goes on to say...from a distance the world is beautiful, peaceful, calm, no war, no hate, just la de dum...nothing wrong here...God doesn't see any of the bad that goes on. He just watches us from a distance, and sees nothing...that's why He doesn't help us. Well, guess what??? HE DOES!!! He sees it all!!! He's not just standing back...way up high in a plane...seeing nothing moving...seeing calm, peaceful earth...HE SEES IT ALL...He doesn't even look at just the surface either...He sees the hurting, broken hearts...the pain we all bear deep, down inside....the lost, broken, lonely, ruined...He sees it all and He's not standing back doing nothing. He sent His only begotten Son to die a horrible, tortuous death for EVERY person on this earth, and He's alive and well and ready to be there for you NO MATTER WHAT!! SO, next time you think God is watching from a distance??? THINK AGAIN!! :) He's RIGHT THERE and sees it all and loves you more then you'll ever know...He's there for you...and NEVER at a distance!!!

On the Lighter Side...

A young boy had just gotten his driving permit. He asked his father, who was a minister, if they could discuss the use of the car. His father took him to his study and said, "I'll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up, study your bible a little and get your hair cut and we'll talk about it."

After about a month the boy came back and again asked his father if they could discuss the use of the car. They again went to the father's study where his father said, "Son, I've been real proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you've studied your bible diligently, but you didn't get your hair cut!"

The young man waited a moment and replied, "You know Dad, I've been thinking about that. You know, Samson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair..."

To which his father replied... "Yes, and they WALKED everywhere they went!"

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
