This weeks inspiration:

The things God continues to do in my life are truly amazing. He's doing things and using people I would never have thought of. He has proven He is faithful and true and even when I feel all hope is lost, God shows me He is my hope and that He has plans for me, plans for my good and not for my evil. I am thankful for that. I am thankful for His mercy that is new every morning, and for the wonderful things He is doing in my own life that are helping me to grow. He's never let me down, and He'll never let you down, even when we fail. He won't leave us or forsake us, and for that I am thankful. He is doing great things, and I will keep you posted when the timing is right! So right now I just want to take this time to...

Thank You, Lord

You proved Your love at Calvary,

You died to save a wretch like me.

I thank You, for without that day,

I could not come to You and pray.

You've proven You are pure and true.

You've shown me that You're faithful too.

The times when I could not go on,

You filled me with this very song.

Chorus:

So I take this time to thank You Lord,

For Your power in Your word.

Your promises forever sure.

And so I love You more and more.

I thank You for this life brand new,

But most of all I thank You, Lord, for You.

The burdens that I cannot bear,

You helped me through, You showed You care.

You've given me the strength to live,

And all my sins, Lord, You forgive.

Oh Lord, You've never let me down.

You've forever turned my life around.

I will never be the same again,

Because of One Who calls me friend.

Check it out!

I'm on Mark's website twice!!!! I will soon, also, be on Anthony Burger's website. He, too, will be posting my Mark Lowry on Broadway poem. Ya'll know how much I like Mark, so I was thrilled and honored!! I wrote Mark's Broadway poem last year after his concert. I nicely, calmly, asked him to put it on his site. As gently as I could, I continued to pester, uh, appeal to his good nature. He wisely refrained until the time was appropriate when his video was ready to be released, knowing that it would have more of an impact if he waited, yeah, uh, that's it. SO about two weeks ago I sweetly sent my last and FINAL GENTLE appeal, to which he graciously responded. SO, don't know what he meant by me writing, e-mailing, threatening, extorting, etc. I mean, I did mention I was going to send a bomb threat as my next option, but I hoped he wouldn't take me seriously. Just kidding!!! Listen, I do have to say I respect Mark for not wanting to promote himself, but with my poem he is not promoting himself, I AM!! I think he's great and so was his concert and just wanted everyone to know what a great time I had and what an awesome person Mark is, inside and out!! He really does not like praise, and to me that has been one of the great qualities I have admired in him. He has a giving heart and a humble spirit. He does not like to draw attention to himself. WELL, go check it out...

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE -

SIGNS YOU LIVE IN THE YEAR 2001 . . .

  1. You just tried to enter your password on the microwave.
  2. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of three.
  3. You call your son's pager to let him know it's time to eat. He E-mails you back from his bedroom, "What's for dinner?"
  4. Your daughter sells Girl Scout Cookies via her Website.
  5. You chat several times a day with a stranger from South Africa, but you haven't spoken with your next door neighbor yet this year.
  6. You check the ingredients on a can of chicken noodle soup to see if it contains Echinacea.
  7. Your grandmother asks you to send her a JPEG file of your newborn so she can create a screen saver.
  8. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.
  9. Every commercial on television has a website address at the bottom of the screen.
  10. You buy a computer, and it is out of date six months later, and sells for half the price you paid.
  11. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn't have the first 20 or 30 years of your life, is cause for panic and turning around to go get it.
  12. Using real money, instead of credit or debit, to make a purchase would be a hassle and take planning.
  13. Cleaning up the dining room means getting the fast food bags out of the back seat of your car.
  14. Your reason for not staying in touch with family is that they do not have E-mail addresses.
  15. You consider second-day air delivery painfully slow.
  16. Your dining room table is now your flat filing cabinet.
  17. Your idea of being organized is multiple-colored Post-it notes.
  18. You hear most of your jokes via E-mail instead of in person.
  19. You get an extra phone line so you can get phone calls.
  20. You disconnect from the Internet and get this awful feeling, as if you just pulled the plug on a loved one.
  21. You get up in morning and go online before getting your coffee.
  22. You wake up at 2:00 a.m. to go to the bathroom and check your E-mail on your way back to bed.
  23. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. :)
  24. You're reading this.
  25. Even worse; you're going to forward it to someone else.

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only

way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
