*Special Announcements*...Elisa's Journey Website is undergoing a lot of changes. Keep an eye out for my next e-mail and I'll let you know when it's all finished! :o) It will have a whole new look, new pictures, new information, and some new favorite links!! Will, my friend and webmaster, has been working very hard to get it done!! I give him the ideas, and he does an amazing job putting them all together. Thanks Will!
I just want to give thanks to all my friends who have been there for me, that stuck by me even when others turned on me. The friends that have given me encouragement to keep going and not give up. The friends that have believed in me from day one and never let me forget it. The friends I am so very thankful for, the ones I don't know what I'd do without them. The ones that have come to mean more to me than I could ever express. I love you guys and this Thanksgiving I just want to give a special thanks to you. May God bless you for the kindness you have shown me, and all the times you've listened to me babble on about one thing or another, or lifted my spirits when they were down. You truly are what friendship is all about. Yes, Jesus is the best friend you could ever have, but He also knew we'd need our friends here to help us along as well, and I thank Him for sending you along, and you, my friend, for showing a glimpse of His love and friendship in your own heart.
Also, a special thanks to some of you artists who have made me feel special, like part of your life in some way, and shown me kindess and humility. To that I am also thankful. So all I can say is...
I'm Sure Glad God Sent You My Way
I’m sure glad God sent you my way,
If you want to see two of the cutest babies in the world, well, I think so, check out these sites. Kyle is the nephew of one of my very best friends, Jen Waggoner, a friend who helped inspire the poem above, and who also did this website for her nephew. While I have never met this baby yet, I just love him to pieces and he's already very special to me. I am his Aunt E from NY and he gets lots of hugs and kisses from me! ;o) I believe he was born a little premature, and has been through so much, but he's getting so big and cuter every time I see a new pic. I need to tell Aunt Jen to update his site and add some recent pics!!! HINT HINT Aunt Jen! ;o) The other little girl, Lauren Danielle, is the grandaughter ,(and one of the most beautiful little girls I've ever seen), of Gene and Pat Minix, two very special people I also have not met, but have encouraged me and blessed me beyond what I could ask for. Thank you both for your friendship and also for sharing these precious lives with me.
Kyle Waggoner - http://www.geocities.com/aunt_jens_pride_and_joy/Three sisters, ages 92, 94, and 96, live in a house together. One night the 96 year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses. She yells down the stairs "was I getting in or out of the bath?". The 94 year old yells back "I don't know. I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses. Then she yells "was I going up the stairs or down?" The 92 year old is sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful." She knocks on wood for good measure. She then yells "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door".
We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
