Quick welcome to all the new people on my list!!! Thank you for joining and

hope you are blessed by God's inspirations!! They are here to encourage you

and bless you along your journey!! Thanks for becoming my new friends! You've

all been such a tremendous blessing to me as well!!! ...

This weeks inspiration:

Somebody said something to me that really started me thinking. I was saying how I don't except compliments very well, but I appreciate them more than you know and they encourage me greatly and keep me going. I am always very gracious about them and always say thank you. I know it's part of God's way of blessing me. Well, sometimes in the Gaither chatroom or on a message board, I'll post my website or talk about my poetry newsletter, poetry and short stories. I told her I I'm just trying to get my name out there, make new friends, and most importantly promote the beautiful Message I'm writing about, but yet deep down inside sometimes don't have a lot of self-confidence and feel inadequate that God is using someone like me.  I mean, who am I?? She said, "At least you come across as so confident, unlike me." I thought about that and came up with a good answer later on.

Doesn't that always happen? LOL I believe the reason I come across as confident is that I'm CONFIDENT God wants to use me, because I'm willing to be used by Him, and I'm confident, no matter what my short comings are, God still loves me and can still use me. He knows I'm human and imperfect, but I want to be used by Him, and He will use me the way He wants. Don't you love  that about God?? SO, if you have a willing heart, and let God have His way, God's gonna use you in a mighty way!! He loves you SO much! TRUST THAT this year and always!!

I'm Confident!

Have you ever lost your hope,

Somewhere along the way?

Has your confidence been shattered,

But the things that people say?

Have the dreams that you've been building,

Just crumbled to the ground?

Let me tell you something,

A truth that I have found.

It comes by knowing Jesus,

And His love for you and me.

For if I have a willing heart,

I know He can use me!

Chorus:

I'm confident that Jesus

can use somebody like me.

Now that I'm His child,

His plans can include me.

I'm confident that Jesus,

By His blood has set me free.

I have put my trust in Him,

And now I have that confidence in me.

Are you troubled by your past,

And does your future seem so dim?

Have you thought to turn to Jesus,

And place your faith in Him?

He will give you grace,

As you travel through each day.

Put your life in His hands,

And you will surely say,

I'm confident that Jesus

can use somebody like me.

Now that I'm His child,

His plans can include me.

I'm confident that Jesus,

By His blood has set me free.

I have put my trust in Him,

And now I have that confidence in me

Check it out!

The following sites are of two friends I have had the privilege of recently meeting. Both felt lead by the Spirit to write what's

contained on these websites. I know you will be truly blessed by both. I know I was. I have "talked" with both, one on the phone, and have found good friends in them. God has blessed the things they wrote and many have been ministered to by their words and what God put on their hearts. I could say more, but I think I will let the sites speak for themselves. Please sign their guestbooks and let them know your thoughts!!!

Hem of His Garment

 Dialogue with God

 ON THE LIGHTER SIDE -

Instructions for moving to the South....

Save all manner of bacon grease. You will be instructed later how to use it.

If you forget a Southerner's name, refer to him (or her) as "Bubba." You have a 75% chance of being right.

Just because you can drive on snow and ice does not mean we can. Stay home  the two days of the year it snows.

If you do run your car into a ditch, don't panic. Four men in the cab of a four wheel drive with a tow chain will be along shortly. Don't try to help  them. Just stay out of their way. This is what they live for.

Don't be surprised to find movie rentals and bait in the same store.

Do not buy food at the movie store.

If it can't be fried in bacon grease, it ain't worth cooking, let alone eating.

Remember: "Y'all" is singular. "All y'all" is plural. "All y'all's" is plural possessive.

Get used to hearing, "You ain't from around here, are you?"

Don't be worried that you don't understand anyone. They don't understand you either.

The proper pronunciation you learned in school is no longer proper.

If attending a funeral in the South, remember, we stay until the last shovel of dirt is thrown on and the tent is torn down.

If you hear a Southerner exclaim, "Hey, y'all, watch this!" stay out of his way. These are likely the last words he will ever say.

Most Southerners do not use turn signals, and they ignore those who do. In fact, if you see a signal blinking on a car with a Southern license plate, you may rest assured that it was on when the car was purchased.

Northerners can be identified by the spit on the inside of their car's windshield that comes from yelling at other drivers.

Satellite dishes are very popular in the South. When you purchase one it is to be positioned directly in front of your trailer. This is logical bearing in mind that the dish cost considerably more than the trailer and should,  therefore, be displayed.

Tornadoes and Southerners going through a divorce have a lot in common. In either case, you know someone is going to lose a trailer.

Florida is not considered a Southern State. There are far more Yankees than Southerners living there.

If you are cursing the person driving 15 mph in a 55 mph zone, directly in the middle of the road, remember, many folks learned to drive on a model of vehicle known as John Deere, and this is the proper speed and lane position for the vehicle.

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life.  Some of us get lost, some search for  the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for  that purpose;  for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living,  experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless. Please visit my poetry site for other
