This week's inspiration:

This week's inspiration: I got this overwhelming thought a few weeks back when someone mentioned the love of God. How do you describe it? It's so unfathomable to me that God could love me the way that He does after all that I've done and still do. Here He is this great King, living in the most beautiful place called Heaven, willing to give up His throne to become a man and sacrifice His own life. He knew it was the only way that we could be saved and He was willing to do it. Would you have been willing to die for a world that would reject, mock, scorn, beat, hate, and finally crucify you? If you lived in the most beautiful palace on earth, with every need, desire, want met, everything you could ever want was yours, you were happy, content, joyful...would you give it all up to die the most horrible death on a cross? I don't think one person on this earth would be willing to go through what Jesus went through for us. To think about it is unbelievable. There is no greater love than when a man lays down his life for his friend. One man laid down His life for you, my friend. He died so we could live, but oh, the joy of it is, He's alive. He arose three days later just as He said and He's alive forevermore in Heaven waiting for His children to come Home. Waiting for those who chose Him, those who believe on Him and believe He rose from the grave. For if you believe in your heart the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. So horrible a death, for so little that He asks of us.

My mother said when she first became a Christian and Easter came around, she grieved over the pain and suffering He went through. Suddenly she got this thought in her head, "Rejoice, it's over!" We don't have to grieve anymore...we can rejoice that Jesus paid the price we could not pay. We can rejoice that He's alive and waiting to call us Home. We can rejoice because of...

The Love of God

How do you describe the love of God?
How do you reveal the depths of His heart?
How do you explain His mercy and His grace?
Where do you begin? How do you start?

With a baby born in Bethlehem,
And a sacrifice so grand,
With fellowship with God our Father,
Just as He had planned.

Chorus: For His love is higher than the mountains, It's deeper than the sea,
His love reaches past the heavens and it's reaching out to me. And each and
every morning, His mercies are brand new, and His never-ending love is
reaching out to you.

How do you ask God to forgive your sins?
How do you reveal the things that you have done?
How do you explain these things to a God, Who just for you,
sacrificed His only begotten Son.

With faith and humility,
a repentant, willing heart.
Let the Holy Spirit fill you,
And give you a brand new start.

For His love is higher than the mountains, It's deeper than the sea, His
love reaches past the heavens and it's reaching out to me. And each and every
morning, His mercies are brand new, and His never-ending love is reaching out
to you.

Prayer Requests:

I have many, many friends with so many needs, and I ask that you would please keep them in your prayers. Most are health related, some financial, and some spiritual.
Also, I will be getting my tonsils out within the next two or three weeks. I was told it can take up to two weeks for recovery and there is pain involved. I ask that you pray for a quick recovery, that the pain would be minimal and that God would protect my singing voice, and getting my tonsils out won't affect it. Thank you for your prayers...they are much appreciated!

On the Lighter Side...

PALM SUNDAY
It was Palm Sunday, and the mother's five year old son had to stay home from Sunday school and church because of strep throat.

When the rest of the family returned home carrying palm branches, the little boy immediately wanted to know what they were for. His mother explained, "People held them over Jesus' head as he walked by."

"Wouldn't you just know it," the little boy fumed. "The one Sunday I don't go, and Jesus shows up!"

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
