Poems for the JourneY
Poems
by Elisa Sangiorgio, Inspirations by God In light of the recent horrific events, this will be a short poetry
newsletter. This is a scary time for everyone. We don't know what may come next, if
anything. I was talking to a girl at work today, someone who is new, and she
said life is so short, you never know. She is not a Christian, and God was able
to use me to say a lot to her about my beliefs. She is very open. I even talked
about being ready...because you never know. In the blink of an eye, things can
change. She is searching, and I have had a strong feeling God was going to use
me in her life...I started to pray about it, and today He did. He's using this
situation to share His hope. She talked about a friend of hers that had died
this summer in a car crash, then went on about this horrible terrorist act, and
all the people whose lives were instantly cut short. That's when I talked about
being ready, because you never know. Christ died for your sins, and loves you so
very much, and He wants you to spend eternity with Him, but you must make the
choice to accept Him into your life. Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your
mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved." John 5:24-25 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my
word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he
has crossed over from death to life. 25 I tell you the truth, a time is coming
and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those
who hear will live." Tomorrow may never come... Are You Ready? -Elisa Sangiorgio Wars, and rumors of wars, Trials and tribulations, Things we cannot fathom, Earthly condemnation. We do not know the hour, We do not know the day. If you have not given Him your life,
Fall on your knees and pray. Are you ready for the trumpet, Are you ready for the sound, Of a thousand chariots coming, To lift you off the ground, And carry you away, To a land where His light burns Are you ready for the sound of
Christ’s return. He died so we could live, But Jesus rose again, And soon He’s coming back, To take those who trust in Him. Have you given Him your heart, Do you trust God’s only son? Are you prepared today, For tomorrow may never come.
