This weeks inspiration:

(After all this was almost ready to go out, I happened to come across Romans 8 while doing my Inspirations for the Journey.  It is so perfect for what is spoken of in this song. I strongly urge you all to read it. You will understand what I'm talking about.) Well, this is a song that's been on my heart for many months. I didn't have all the words, just the chorus. The words have come from hearing the experiences of many, dear friends I have met over those months, plus my own situation. See, each and every one of us has our own heartaches, and circumstances that we go through.  We don't understand why, sometimes, and we can even tend to get angry at the only One we know is going to really be there for us during that time. I'm not excluding myself either, but I have come to a conclusion. Why worry? Why get anxious? Let me tell you, I've done both plenty of times, and even still am guilty of it, but doesn't God say to be anxious for nothing? Of course, even though I realize this, we're still human, and I'm sure, should hard circumstances come, I will tend to question and get frustrated, but for now, while my circumstances are easy I want to just trust God has a plan and purpose. I know He will work things out in His timing and according to His will for my life. I just have to put it in His hands and let Him take over. Because of that, I have had peace like I've never had peace before. It's really an awesome thing in your life when you let God take control of the situation. We, as humans can't handle things on our own, it's impossible, but with God, ALL things are possible. I know many of you are going through very tough circumstances, and I know it's hard. Once you have gotten all your anger and frustrations out, which we all know God can handle, and He understands, remember He will see you through another day, and it's only....

A Matter of Trust

I don't have the answers to all the questions that you ask,

but I do know there is One who knows your pain.

The grief that goes unspoken, I can see it in your eyes,

The heartache and emotions you try hard to contain.

At times you feel your world is falling apart,

When life seems worse then it was before.

Those are times you need to trust, for faith will lead you on.

Don't look away and miss the open door.

It’s just a matter of trust,

it’s just a matter of faith,

it’s just a matter of living life in God’s own way.

It’s just a matter of hope,

to know He’s there,

and that is why I say,

it’s just a matter of trust.

You dream your dreams, yet have your fears,

you feel that there’s no hope to hold on too.

Your future's so uncertain, and life just goes on by,

but the grace of God is all you need to get you through.

Yes, sometimes faith is blind, and can’t see what is ahead,

Your heart can't seem to find the words to pray.

But, God has promised, in His word, He won’t fail, He won’t forsake.

We just have to be willing to live life God’s own way.

Your life is in His hands, there is no need to worry,

God has a plan and purpose for each of us.

At the times He seems most silent, He is working out His will.

So don’t give up on Him, only trust.

It’s just a matter of trust,

it’s just a matter of faith,

it’s just a matter of living life in God’s own way.

It’s just a matter of hope,

to know He’s there,

and that is why I say,

it’s just a matter of trust.

Check it out!

This weeks featured site is one of my favorite groups in the world. The Martins, a trio of young siblings, two sisters and a brother, are one of the best groups out there. Their harmony is so perfect, I get blown away every time I hear them sing. Their lyrics will minister to your heart too. Meeting them at the last concert was such a blessing. What a wonderful, sweet family they are. They talked to you as if you were their best friend. I really do hope you guys check out their website, get to know them, maybe buy

one of their CDs and see what I mean!! You WON'T be disappointed! I promise!  The Martins (http://www.the-martins.com ...don't forget that dash between THE-Martins)

On the Lighter Side...

Stumpy and his wife Martha went to the State Fair every year.  Every year Stumpy would say, "Martha, I'd like to ride in that there airplane."

And every year Martha would say, "I know, Stumpy, but that airplane ride costs ten dollars, and ten dollars is ten dollars."

This one year Stumpy and Martha went to the fair and Stumpy said, "Martha, I'm 71 years old. If I don't ride that airplane this year I may never get another chance. "

Martha replied, "Stumpy, that there airplane ride costs ten dollars, and ten dollars is ten dollars."

The pilot overheard them and said, "Folks, I'll make you a deal. I'll take you both up for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and not say one word, I won't charge you,

but if you say one word it's ten dollars."

Stumpy and Martha agreed and up they go.  The pilot does all kinds of twists and turns, rolls and dives, but not a word is heard.

He does all his tricks over a gain, but still not a word.

They land and the pilot turns to Stumpy, "By golly, I did everything I could think of to get you to yell out, but you didn't."

Stumpy replied, "Well, I was gonna say something when Martha fell out, but ten dollars is ten dollars."

Inspirations for the Journey:

This is a new feature I will periodically add to my newsletter. I sometimes, from my own thoughts, and from others, will hear a story told, and somehow relate it to God. I have learned I need to write them down, or I tend to forget them. :) Well, this is something I was thinking about the other day. The movie "Aladin" came into my head, and I

started to think about the genie and wishes. There is a certain part in the movie where the genie tells Aladin that there are certain wishes he can't grant. Now, I'm thinking, "Here's this so called, all powerful genie and he's restricted. He can't be all powerful, now, can he?" Then I thought about God, "Here's this all powerful God, and He says in the Bible, 'The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.' Which really does make Him all powerful." Hmmm...so what were those restrictions???

The Genie vs God

Genie: Cannot make anyone fall in love

God: The word LOVE occurs 179 times in the New Testament. God commands us to love one another in many verses, but this one, in Ephesians, spoke of the

love between a man and woman... Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; vs 28 So

ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love hi

s wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. 1 Thes. 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward

another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you. Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.

1 John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1 John 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, Goddwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.  1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

So basically, with God in us, and God's love, love is present already.

Genie: Cannot wish for more wishes.

God: God gives us hope for our desires and dreams...He lets us dream our dreams, and if they're according to His will for our life, they come true... which, in turn, is a blessing! Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.  1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

So, if we hope in God and TRUST Him for His will in our lives and wait for His perfect timing, He will BLESS us, which is even better then wishes!!

Genie : Cannot raise anyone from the dead.

God: Well, we all know the story of Lazarus. What more needs to be said? And what about when we die?? Wait, we don't die! We LIVE! After death, we are even more alive then we were on earth! WOW! What an awesome God! So, He loves us, and when we love Him, we love others...then God gives us hope, then eternal life!!

SO, my conclusion?

Genie: WHAT A WIMP!!!

God: All-powerful, all-knowing and AWESOME!! Glad I serve GOD and not a wimpy Genie!!

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only

way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
