5. About my poetry

This weeks inspiration:

Over the years I have met probably hundreds of friends, each with their own unique circumstance and burden to bear.  Sometimes it seems one is worse than the other, but I've also come to see each circumstance as just another avenue for God to show how He works through us when we are willing. I admire a lot of my friends and how strongly they have held onto God through even in the most difficult circumstance. They've learned to just trust, even when life is at it's worst. It's hard to do sometimes, and I know we've all been there. I can't imagine some of the things they are going through, but they've inspired and encouraged me with their stories and their faith. I've learned to count my blessings and trust God through it all. God never promised this life would be easy, but He did say we can overcome through Him and that nothing is impossible with Him. When we let go and let Him work, we will see amazing things, and He will give us the grace to get through. So when life seems at it's worst and you don't know what to do...

Trust in Him

Jesus never promised a bed of roses,

But the Bible tells us He is the rose of Sharon,

And He never said that life would be so easy,

but rest assured He sure has a special way of carin'.

Walkin down the road we travel, sometimes takes too long,

But He will lead us down the straight and narrow.

And I believe He cares so deeply for each one of us,

Since He's said he even cares about a falling sparrow.

So trust in Him with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He'll direct your path,

when things don't go the way that you are planning.

When all hope seems far away, and you don't know what to pray,

You'll find peace that Jesus knows your heart.

On this journey we will find, that Jesus takes His precious time,

But we will get His grace which will sustain us on the way.

And what a joy this love we share, to lift each other up in prayer,

And know that He is with us every day.

UPDATE:

I have some very exciting things coming up in the next few months, so please keep me in your prayers and I will keep you updated!! I can't wait to share some things with you and see what God does next! Also, if you're interested, I put up my temporary demo on my site, under "My Music"...I will be doing all the songs over and putting up another one shortly. I put it up to get feedback and some advice from professionals to help improve this demo. I will let you know when the final versions are up. A few people have had trouble loading them, and I've suggested right clicking on your mouse and choosing "Save as..." then save it and open it that way. It seemed to help.

Thanks so much for your prayers, encouragement, patience, and friendship. You have all blessed and touched my life in a very special way. God is good! ALL the time! I cannot believe how far God has taken this poem ministry and I cannot wait to see what He is up to next! God bless and keep you all!!

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE -

hmmm...I think a lot of us can relate to this... ;o)

You know you're an e-mail junkie when...

1. You wake up at 3 a.m. to go to the bathroom and stop to check your e-mail on the way back to bed.

2. You get a tattoo that reads "This body best viewed with Netscape Navigator 1.1 or higher."

3. You name your children Eudora, Mozillia and Dotcom.

4. You turn off your modem and get this awful empty feeling, like you just pulled the plug on a loved one.

5. You spend half of the plane trip with your laptop on your lap...and your child in the overhead compartment.

6. You decide to stay in college for an additional year or two, just for the free Internet access.

7. You laugh at people with 9600-baud modems.

8. You start using smileys in your snail mail.

9. Your hard drive crashes. You haven't logged in for two hours. You start to twitch. You pick up the phone and manually dial your ISP's access number.   You try to hum to communicate with the modem...And you succeed.

10. You find yourself typing "com" after every period when using a word processor.com

11. You refer to going to the bathroom as downloading.

12. You start introducing yourself as "JohnDoe at AOL dot com."

13. All of your friends have an @ in their names.

14. Your cat has its own home page.

15. You can't call your mother...she doesn't have a modem.

16. You check your mail. It says "no new messages." So you check it again.

17. Your phone bill comes to your doorstep in a box.

18. You don't know what sex three of your closest friends are, because they have neutral nicknames and you never bothered to ask.

19. You move into a new house and decide to Netscape before you landscape.

About my poetry:

We are all on a journey through life. Some of us get lost, some search for the truth, some have found the truth, and sometimes we all need a little "service station" along the way to continue on. These poems were written for that purpose; for those seeking to find life, for those who have it, but need a little lift, for those who have strayed and need directions back, and for those who just need a little encouragement. It is for every day living, experiences, heartaches that lead us to the realization that God is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. I pray my poems minister to your heart, and give you the energy, direction and encouragement that you need. If you ever wished to be removed, please send me an e-mail and I will remove you, no hard feelings. :) God bless.
